
The Metropolitan Police Department is on the hunt for a suspect involved in a theft incident that struck a business in Southeast D.C. and they are reaching out to the public for help. The theft was reported to have taken place on Monday, April 21, around midday in an establishment on the 300 block of G Street, Southeast.
According to the department's release, after the suspect made their move stealing property from inside, they escaped from the area. The police have shared images of the suspect taken from the establishment's surveillance footage in the hope that someone will recognize them. The photos of the suspect can be viewed below as part of the MPD's appeal for information.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect or details about the theft not to approach or take any action themselves, but to immediately get in touch with the police. Calls can be directed to the MPD at (202) 727-9099, or tips can be sent anonymously via text to the department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
In an effort to motivate community participation, the Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000. This reward is promised to anyone who comes forward with information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the responsible individual.
