
A tragic incident occurred in Caledonia yesterday, taking the life of a 70-year-old Milwaukee man following a two-vehicle collision. The Caledonia Police Department reported that the crash happened near County Highway V and Northwestern Avenue, as disclosed by WISN.
Authorities were called to the scene just before 12:15 p.m., where they discovered a black Mercedes SUV had veered across the center line and collided with a black Dodge pickup truck, that was towing a boat. The Milwaukee man driving the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who are affected by this tragic incident," the Caledonia Police Department wrote in a post as reported by WISN.
The driver of the Dodge truck, a 62-year-old Racine man, received hospital treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released. As the investigation unfolds, the Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit together with the Racine County Sheriff's Office, are assisting local authorities.
