According to the National Weather Service, today's weather in Minneapolis will be partly sunny with a high around 60 degrees and a shift in winds from north-northwest to northeast. As the evening approaches, temperatures are expected to drop to a low near 42 under mostly cloudy skies.

As we march towards the week, the city anticipates a 30 percent chance of showers on Monday after 1 pm, with a persistent east wind that could see gusts as high as 30 mph. The escalation of rainy conditions is expected by Monday night, where showers and potentially a thunderstorm could lead to new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch. "Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a low around 45. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%," as stated by the National Weather Service.
The pattern of showers continues into Tuesday with temperatures reaching a high near 51 and an east wind that might become quite brisk, with gusts possibly reaching 35 mph. By Tuesday evening, the likelihood of showers remains before diminishing. Midweek, residents might catch a break, with Wednesday showing only a 30 percent chance of showers before 1 pm and partly sunny skies thereafter.
Meanwhile, a Hazardous Weather Outlook has also been issued, warning of patchy to widespread frost over the next several days in eastern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin. "Localized flooding possible in south-central and southern Minnesota due to long duration rainfall Monday into Wednesday," as per the NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook. SKYWARN spotter activation is not expected.
