In a recent operation by the Minneapolis Police Department, a vehicle involved in a first-degree property damage case was stopped, resulting in the discovery of illegal firearms and the arrest of multiple individuals. In a social media post, the department outlined the sequence of events that unfolded.
The car, occupied by two individuals who were not the owners, contained two guns. According to the Minneapolis Police Department, one of the firearms had been stolen, and the driver was not legally permitted to carry a weapon due to previous weapons offenses. The post stated, "One firearm was stolen, and the driver is legally barred from having a gun because of prior weapons offenses."
When the car's legitimate owner arrived to retrieve the vehicle, she was arrested for her involvement in the initial property-damage crime, as per the Minneapolis Police Department. The social media post from the department concluded with: "Big thanks to our team for de-escalating the situation and taking illegal weapons off the streets."
