
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Stacey Lynn Talmadge, a 48-year-old woman reported missing earlier this week, has been found safe. Talmadge, who has autism and a developmental disability, was last seen in the Fairfield area of Jacksonville on last night. She was reported missing by her caretakers at approximately 6:40 a.m. today, sparking an urgent search operation.
Concern was heightened considering Talmadge's condition, which the police detailed in their reports. First Coast News shared that Talmadge was last seen on 8th Street around 10 p.m., and she was reportedly wearing an orange long-sleeved shirt, and green hospital scrubs, at the time of her disappearance.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office issued a statement around 1:45 p.m. today announcing that Talmadge had been located and was safe, as reported by News4Jax. The details surrounding her disappearance and how she was found have not been disclosed by the authorities.
In response to the incident, the Sheriff's Office had asked the public to assist in the search, understanding the vulnerability associated with Talmadge's developmental disability, according to Action News Jax.
