A Mississippi man who allegedly crashed into Jennifer Aniston's Bel Air residence has been charged with stalking and vandalism. Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, reportedly fixated on the actress for over two years, now faces the possibility of three years in state prison. According to a statement obtained by NBC Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office confirmed Carwyle's charges and announced plans to request $150,000 bail.

The District Attorney's Office has accused Carwyle of sending Aniston unsolicited social media messages, voicemails, and emails since March 1, 2023, escalating to the point where he rammed his vehicle through her front gate on May 5th. Despite the intrusion, Aniston was not harmed in the incident as Carwyle was promptly apprehended by her security before the LAPD arrived. In connection with this arrest, "Stalking is a crime that can quickly escalate from harassment to dangerous, violent actions, threatening the safety of victims and our communities," District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman stated, as reported by the L.A. County D.A. Office's press release.

Further inquiry into Carwyle's background revealed a troublesome past. A former automobile service technician, he quit his job five years ago, which was followed by a decline in mental health. Reports from a longtime childhood friend to NBC News indicated that Carwyle harbored delusions, believing himself to be a Christ-like figure in a union with Aniston. After moving from Mississippi in September, Carwyle lived out of his car at a Burbank Walmart Supercenter before the events culminated in his alleged attempt to breach Aniston's residence.

Investigators are scouring Carwyle's social media activity for evidence, including posts where he consistently mentioned Aniston. On March 26, Carwyle wrote on Facebook, "I’ve been writing, since the Beginning Jennifer Joanna Aniston Carwyle, with you," which seems to indicate the depth of his fixation.
