The Modesto Police Department announced the arrest of four people after a smash-and-grab robbery at Sai Jewelers on Standiford Avenue. On Sunday evening, masked suspects used a red Mitsubishi to ram the storefront and took a large amount of jewelry, as reported by the Modesto Police Department.
Officers were tracking a stolen vehicle identified by the department’s License Plate Reader system. This led to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of items linked to the Sai Jewelers robbery. The Modesto Police Department said their monitoring tools allowed them to quickly identify and follow the individuals involved.
According to the Modesto Police Department on their Facebook page, four suspects—Nasir Blocker, 19, Anton Crawford, 24, Gangster Lawson, 24, and Nehemiah Miller, 21—were arrested and charged with robbery, conspiracy, and vehicle-related offenses. Blocker’s bail was set at $2 million, while the others each have $1 million bail. The group has been linked to similar crimes in Oakland, Alameda County, and Beverly Hills. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Keyon Turner at [email protected].
