
In Monroe, Michigan, a routine last Saturday morning took a turn when citizens spotted a light blue car causing disturbances on North Macomb Street and Cole Road. The Monroe County Central Dispatch received the first call around 9:35 a.m., alerting them to the vehicle's erratic behavior. According to a report by CBS News Detroit, another caller soon informed the authorities that the same vehicle had caused damage to multiple mailboxes.
Monroe Police officers responded to the scene, where they discovered two damaged mailboxes on the 1200 block of North Macomb Street. The vehicle in question was found parked three blocks away, with flat tires and showcasing a large orange construction sign jammed into its passenger side. The driver, a 40-year-old Monroe area woman, appeared disoriented and incapable of recollecting the day's events.
Field tests administered by the responding officers indicated that the driver was under the influence, leading to her subsequent arrest. A search of her vehicle uncovered crack cocaine, powder cocaine, unknown pills, and drug paraphernalia, as detailed in a social media post from the Monroe Public Safety Department.
