Heads up, drivers and pedestrians in Morrison County—your travel may hit some snags this week due to ongoing road maintenance and construction activities. According to a May 19th announcement from the county government, crews are out and about working on several projects, from installing culverts on CSAH 34 to slathering fresh gravel on County Road 234 and County Road 266.
For those of you keen on keeping your tires intact, take note that patching of potholes and sealing of cracks are in full swing on CSAH 38. Meanwhile, contracted construction teams are focusing their efforts on replacing culverts on CSAH 46 and entirely reconstructing the intersection at CSAH 1 & CSAH 14 West of Highway 10 in Randall. They're also tackling the big job of reconstructing CSAH 1 from CSAH 5 to a mile East of CR 203.
Furthermore, Morrison County hasn't forgotten the importance of clear road markings. Countywide painting of pavement markings is also on the week's agenda, ensuring that lines are sharp and visibility is up to par. The county's maintenance report emphasizes: "Please use caution around flaggers, work crews, flashing lights and watch for wet paint."
