
A fatal collision involving a motorcyclist and a Dodge Caravan took place on Wednesday afternoon, claiming the life of a man in North Las Vegas. The incident, occurring around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Losee Road and Centennial Parkway, resulted in the motorcyclist being pronounced dead at the scene after he was found unresponsive by officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department, as per News3LV.
The North Las Vegas Police detailed that the crash unfolded as the motorcyclist was heading southbound on Losee Road and the Caravan was executing a left turn from the northbound lane directly in the path of the oncoming motorcycle, prompting a collision that ejected the rider, this is according to the News3LV report. Responding officers located the motorcyclist, an adult male, in an unresponsive state on the roadway, and despite the absence of apparent speed or impairment factors, charges of vehicular manslaughter and failure to yield while making a left turn will be submitted against the driver of the Caravan.
The Major Collision Investigation Unit is now handling the crash case, and the Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and cause of death.
