Last Saturday morning on State Highway 151 in San Antonio ended in tragedy as a motorcyclist was fatally injured after their high-speed ride took a turn for the worse. As reported by KSAT, the incident occurred around 5:45 a.m. in the 5700 block of the westbound access road, where the rider, aboard a 2008 Honda CBR 600, struck the right curb and was thrown from their motorcycle into a nearby grassy patch.
The unidentified motorcyclist's attempt to make a high-speed exit from the highway to the access road ended fatally when they misjudged a curve, hit the curb, and lost control, causing the motorcycle to veer off-road and resulting in the rider being ejected, according to a report by KENS 5. San Antonio police have ruled out criminal involvement in the crash as of their last update yesterday.
The San Antonio Fire Department declared the rider dead at the scene of the crash. As of the most recent updates, police have not released the identity of the deceased. Both KSAT and KENS 5 note the absence of immediate additional information on this developing story.
Local authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash, though early indications from San Antonio police suggest that the dangerous combination of curve negotiation and excessive speed were significant factors. “There were no criminal elements to this crash, at this time,” police stated, emphasizing the absence of suspect activity surrounding the incident, as noted by KSAT.
