Kelly Ralston, 61, of Mount Pleasant, has won a $110,000 Fantasy 5 Double Play prize, marking his second major win from the same Michigan Lottery game in just over a year. His previous jackpot was $115,000. The winning ticket for the May 10 drawing was purchased at Oil City EZ Mart, as reported by ABC12. Ralston's reaction to his windfall, saying, "I’ve continued to play Fantasy 5 since I won last year, but I never thought I would win big a second time."

Ralston discovered he had won the prize using the Lottery app to scan his ticket and was stunned to see the $110,000 amount appear on the screen, as he expressed in an interview with Michigan Lottery Connect.

Sharing his plans for the winnings, he told ABC12, "The first time I won, I used the money to buy a camper, help my family, and do things around my house, and now I plan to retire and live comfortably."

The first jackpot Ralston claimed in May 2024 was similarly significant. That time, he had matched all five numbers in the April 30 drawing a year prior, resulting in a $115,000 prize as reported by Michigan Lottery Connect. The ticket for his first jackpot was purchased at Borders Corner Store, another Mount Pleasant retailer.

While talking with Michigan Lottery Connect, Ralston expressed his ongoing enthusiasm for the game and a hopeful outlook towards future winnings, saying, "I plan to keep playing and hopefully be back claiming a big prize for the third time!" Fantasy 5 tickets cost $1 per play, with additional options for EZmatch and Double Play, costing an extra $1 each, which allows players more chances to win instantly or in a second drawing. Ralston's story will perhaps inspire other players, who can enter the drawings seven days a week at 7:29 p.m., with tickets available for purchase until 7:08 p.m. on the day of the drawing at retailers or online at MichiganLottery.com.
