
The Metropolitan Police Department is on the lookout for two suspects involved in an armed robbery that took place earlier this week in Southeast. According to a press release posted on MPD's website, the incident occurred inside an apartment building on the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. The victim, who was walking to their apartment door around 6:12 p.m. on Monday, was approached by the suspects, with one brandishing a knife and demanding their property.
Following the victim's compliance, the suspects fled, however, their actions were caught on surveillance footage; the images have now been disseminated by the authorities in an effort to solicit the public's assistance to identify and locate these individuals. In a move to encourage community cooperation, the MPD has announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this violent crime.
