Multnomah County is calling on residents to help shape the future of public health in the region. The county’s Public Health Advisory Board is now accepting applications for new members, with a particular focus on individuals with insights into education, environmental issues, food systems, and transportation.
To promote inclusivity and community representation, the board does not require applicants to have formal public health training or professional experience. The goal is to bring diverse voices to the table to advise the Public Health Division on ethics and to help guide long-term strategies addressing the leading causes of death and disability across the county.
Board members will serve a three-year term beginning July 2025, with an option to extend for one additional term. Applications are open until June 22, 2025. Interested individuals can apply online or request a physical application by contacting Eric Richardson at [email protected] or by calling 503-341-4027. Residents are encouraged to step forward and bring their unique perspectives to the board, helping to create a healthier, more equitable Multnomah County for all.
