
The Nevada Highway Patrol, part of the Nevada State Police, recently carried out "Rural Blitz," an initiative focused on commercial vehicle safety. In April, the Commercial Enforcement Unit from Region Two monitored USA Parkway and conducted operations in Douglas, Lyon, Churchill, and Mineral Counties, as reported by the Nevada State Police.
Nevada State Police carried out a commercial vehicle enforcement blitz focused on identifying violations among large trucks and other commercial vehicles on the state’s highways. In a statement shared on social media, the agency said, "We are committed to keeping Nevada’s roadways safe for everyone sharing the road."
According to the Nevada State Police on their Facebook page, a traffic enforcement operation called "Rural Blitz" was conducted to improve safety on rural roads. The announcement was made on Thursday with a message to drivers: "Please slow down and drive safely, Nevada!" The operation focused on enforcing traffic laws in remote areas with limited law enforcement presence.
