Before the game, the Liberty received their 2024 championship rings and watched their title banner raised. They led by 14 points at halftime. The Aces cut the lead to two early in the fourth quarter, but an 8-0 run led by Cloud extended the Liberty’s lead, according to AP News.
A’ja Wilson led the Las Vegas Aces with 31 points and 16 rebounds. The team played without Crystal Bradford, who was suspended for an incident from 2021. The New York Liberty were missing Betnijah Laney-Hamilton due to a meniscus injury and Raquel Carrera for personal reasons, as mentioned by Total Apex Sports. The Liberty will begin a two-game road trip with a game against the Chicago Sky on Thursday. The Aces will play next against the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. ET on Vegas 34 and NBCS-BOS.
