The skies over Ellis County might be a bit more crowded, but fear not, it's just the latest batch of drone pilots trained in the fine art of flying high for the sake of public safety. The Ellis County Sheriff's Office Training Division has closed the books on another intensive UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) School, gathering a cohort dedicated to elevating the quality of aerial support in critical situations.
In an enthusiastic social media post, the Ellis County Sheriff's Office gave a massive shoutout to all the newly-minted drone pilots, stating, "what a class it was!" and not only were the skies abuzz with rotorcraft, but the atmosphere charged with dedication and professionalism, each participant arrived echoing the same resolve for public safety.
It wasn't just the Sheriff's deputies expanding their skillset, as the course boasted participation from various regional services, including the Ennis Police, Alvarado Police, Navarro County Sheriff’s Office, Waxahachie Emergency Management, and Ellis County Emergency Management. The concerted effort didn't go unnoticed, as the Ellis County Sheriff's Office acknowledged, "Your enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to excellence made this course successful."
