Two standout seniors from Northwest Early College High School have their eyes set on the horizon, each armed with prestigious scholarships that promise to make their academic and professional dreams a reality. Melina Holguin and Elizabeth Marshall's accomplishments are a testament to their hard work and the support they have received from their school community.

Melina Holguin, driven to heal and help as a future doctor, has been awarded the Terry Foundation Scholarship, a full-ride that caters to nearly every college expense including a golden ticket to study abroad, at the University of Texas at El Paso as noted by Canutillo ISD, this achievement is not just an endowment of funds but a gateway to bigger dreams and ambitions as Holguin herself ecstatically acknowledged, "This scholarship isn’t just helping me go to college, it’s giving me the chance to dream even bigger."

While Holguin immerses herself in biomedical sciences at UTEP, with a spotlight on leadership and community service as a Terry Scholar. Elizabeth Marshall's path is charted towards Texas Tech University backed by the Texas Leadership Scholars Program scholarship, a competitive reward that covers full tuition and fees along with a stipend for room and board complemented by further scholarships such as the Texas Tech Presidential Scholarship, the Texas Tech AT&T Scholarship and the Terry and Phyllis Winn Endowed Scholarship, creating a montage of recognition for her scholastic and leadership excellence, "These scholarships aren’t just a financial blessing, they’re validation that my ideas matter and that I have a future in building something meaningful," said Marshall, as per Canutillo ISD.

According to Canutillo ISD, the principal, Frank Clark, aptly praises both students, describing Holguin as a change-maker and portraying Marshall as a powerhouse of work ethic and vision, and it's these attributes, along with the support of their school where students graduate with college credits that spotlight the institution’s dedication toward equipping its graduates with the tools necessary for success in the greater world beyond their campus's borders.
