The incident occurred on Saturday at around 8:05 PM in front of 365 East 209th Street, according to the NYPD's 52nd Precinct. No injuries were reported despite the gunfire and resulting chaos. Witnesses said the suspect fled westbound on East 209th Street, disappearing into the night. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward. A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for tips that lead to an arrest.
NYPD Crimestoppers stated: "WANTED Reckless Endangerment🚨 On Saturday, May 24, 2025, at approximately 8:05 P.M., an unidentified male individual discharged a firearm multiple times in front of 365 East 209 Street." This dangerous act has prompted the police to issue a public call for assistance in tracking down the individual responsible; to share any relevant information, the public can call 800-577-8477, where they can remain anonymous.
