
The New York City Police Department is currently on the hunt for an individual connected to a stabbing at a Queens subway station over the weekend. According to a social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers, the incident occurred on Saturday night, shortly after 11:00 P.M., on the mezzanine level of the Hunter's Point Avenue station. The suspect allegedly approached a 26-year-old male and stabbed him in the stomach.
Details about the event are still emerging, but authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The NYPD Crimestoppers shared a direct appeal on their Facebook page, stating: "🚨WANTED ASSAULT🚨 On Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:05 P.M., at the mezzanine level of the Hunter's Point subway station, located in the vicinity of 21st Street and 49th Avenue, an unidentified individual approached a 26-year-old male victim and stabbed him in the stomach." They are offering up to a $3500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
This attack adds to a disturbing uptick in violence seen on the city's public transportation system. The identity of the victim has not yet been made public, and the extent of his injuries has yet to be disclosed.
While the NYPD continues to investigate the crime, transit users are reminded to stay alert and report any suspicious activity.
