
Select 7, Inc. in O‘ahu was issued a red “closed” placard by the Hawai‘i Department of Health after a routine inspection on Wednesday found several critical food safety violations. The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported that refrigerators were not keeping food at proper temperatures, the handwashing sink was used improperly, there were risks of cross-contamination, and some ready-to-eat foods were missing date labels.
The Hawai‘i Department of Health has shut down Select 7, Inc. at 2142 Bannister Place due to food safety violations. A follow-up inspection is scheduled for today to decide if the restaurant can reopen. The Hawai‘i Department of Health is focused on ensuring proper food storage and preventing foodborne illness.
