The Oak Creek Public Library is set to host a "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring" book club, beckoning J.R.R. Tolkien enthusiasts to a communal delve into the first installment of the iconic fantasy series. According to the library's announcement released on the city's official website, the weekly sittings promise spirited exchanges and collective insight into the narrative's rich tapestry of Middle-earth.
Participants are invited to gather each Saturday from June 7 through August 23, from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m., to steadily progress through a seminal work of modern fantasy. The group will cover two chapters per session in the Tower Room of the Civic Center. However, those wishing to attend must act promptly, as registration is required and space is limited.
This book club isn’t just about reading—it’s a chance for adults to connect over shared stories and the themes of friendship and courage in Tolkien’s work. After each meeting, members are encouraged to visit the nearby Oak Creek Farmers Market at Drexel Town Square. Full details, including how you might claim a coveted place, are available on the library's website.
