The Oakland County community is called to action as the search intensifies for two Australian Shepherd mix puppies, Luna and Ludo, who were reported stolen from their foster home in Oxford. The disappearance of the pets occurred on May 19 at Lake Villa Estates, just as they were poised to transition to a permanent home. According to ClickOnDetroit, the canine duo was snatched from an outdoor play pen, and no substantial leads have turned up despite the involvement of local police.

Involving the community in the efforts to safely recover these puppies is a strategy that the animal rescue, No Dogs Left Behind, hopes will yield results. “These aren’t your typical black and white dogs running the neighborhood. They are not easy to miss,” Stacey Jerome, co-founder of No Dogs Left Behind, stressed in her plea for public assistance as reported by ClickOnDetroit.

No Dogs Left Behind took to social media in a bid to spread awareness and solicit information that could lead to the safe return of the puppies. The rescue group made a heartfelt appeal on the No Dogs Left Behind Facebook page, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. "Luna and Ludo are still missing and have not been seen since 5/19. There were taken from the Lake Villa Estates in Oxford on 5/19," the post stated, urging people to share the information broadly.

Stacey Jerome and Sam Jerome, who have dedicated more than a decade to rescuing and fostering animals, especially mother dogs and their puppies, are now hoping to reunite the puppies with their foster family. "We just want the puppies back - no questions asked. Their safety is our priority," Stacey Jerome expressed in the No Dogs Left Behind's Facebook post. If anyone has information, they are encouraged to immediately contact the Oxford Police non-emergency line at 248-858-4911 or Stacey Jerome directly at 248-881-7924.
