Oklahoma City is hosting a Mental Health Information Session on May 29 as part of National Mental Health Awareness Month. The event is organized in partnership with the OKC Public Safety Partnership and will provide residents with information about available mental health services and resources.
According to the Oklahoma City website, the session begins at 6 p.m. at the Sarkeys Science and Math Center on the Oklahoma City University campus. It is free and open to the public. Assistant City Manager Jason Ferbrache will moderate the panel discussion, which includes Andrea Grayson (OKC Public Safety Partnership Implementation Manager), Lori Brown-Loftis (OKC Fire Department Mobile Integrated Healthcare Program), Lori Osborn (OKC Police Department Crisis Intervention Team), and Jessica Hawkins (Healthy Minds Policy Initiative).
Attendees will have access to details about mental health support services offered by the city and partner organizations. The panel will also discuss response options for 911 calls related to mental and behavioral health, including the OKCFD’s Mobile Integrated Healthcare program.
While pre-registration is not required, it is encouraged and can be completed on the OKC Public Safety Partnership’s page at OKC.gov. Translation services will be available for American Sign Language, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
