Orange County is on high alert as deputies continue the search for a man suspected of an attempted kidnapping at gunpoint. The incident occurred on Sunday, May 11, around 10 a.m. when a woman, out walking her dog near Adanson Street and Lee Road, was confronted by a male driver in a gray Toyota 4Runner. As reported by ClickOrlando, the suspect had driven past the woman multiple times before blocking her path and brandishing a handgun.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office disclosed that the woman managed to escape by running away, after which the suspect left the area in the stolen vehicle. The 4Runner, stolen earlier that same morning, was later found abandoned. The suspect, with black hair, an average build, and a possible tattoo on his left forearm, remains at large. Surveillance footage captured him at the home where the car was reported stolen.
Authorities have released the footage in hopes of receiving assistance from the public in identifying the suspect. "If you recognize the man in this video or have any information that could help identify him, call the Orange County Sheriff's Office or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS," urged the Orange County Sheriff's Office in a statement obtained by FOX 35 Orlando. This plea underscores the urgency to apprehend the individual before any other potential incidents occur.
