An Orange County man faces grave charges in the death of his young daughter after authorities made a grim discovery. Darius Stephone Nichols, a 20-year-old father, was arrested following the catastrophic loss of his 3-month-old baby, Nova, who suffered fatal injuries. Deputies relayed that Nichols initially claimed the infant became unresponsive after falling from a couch last Wednesday. Nevertheless, an autopsy revealed baby Nova had endured multiple skull fractures and several healing rib fractures indicative of previous abuse.
