The Orange County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest linked to an attack on a nonagenarian at the HarborChase of Dr. Phillips senior living community. ClickOrlando reported that the incident occurred during the evening hours between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, with deputies releasing video footage of the suspect approaching the facility.
The person in question, clad in dark attire and with their hood drawn over the head, was caught on camera entering the premises off Della Drive. Despite the hood, the facial features of the suspect are visible in the video. A friend of the victim recounted to ClickOrlando that the assailant had knocked down the elderly woman and attempted to smother her. Fortunately, the victim sustained no serious injuries during the harrowing ordeal.
In an appeal to the local community, the Orange County Sheriff's Office posted a notice on its social media, emphasizing the urgency of identifying the individual captured in the video. "CAN YOU ID?" the post began, detailing the assault on the senior resident and declaring the man a person of interest in the case. The sheriff's office emphasized, "We rely on our community to help us solve these crimes—someone must know who he is."
