In a disturbing revelation coming out of Osceola County, 40-year-old Daniel Lamppin stands accused of sexually abusing multiple foster children who were under his care. According to ClickOrlando, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation in November 2024 after a child reported being abused from age 6 to 8 by Lamppin, a youth pastor and a manager at a local Chick-fil-A.
The scope of the allegations widened as a second victim, now an adult, revealed to authorities that she too had been abused by Lamppin beginning at the age of 16 and "continued for years," as reported by WESH. Sheriff Marcos Lopez shared details of the heartbreaking situation, stating, "It's sad and it's sickening," at a press briefing.
Expressing grave concern for the possibility of more victims, Sheriff Lopez urged anyone with information to come forward. The nature of Lamppin's role as a foster parent and youth pastor, positions of trust and authority, have intensified the fears of unnoticed abuse. Lamppin now faces two dozen counts of sexual battery by a custodian. When confronted, his only response to the allegations was a terse "No."
