Deputy Garret Davies of the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office has completed his training at the Waukesha County Technical College Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Academy. The 18-week program includes 720 hours of instruction covering areas such as defense and arrest tactics, emergency vehicle operation, firearms, criminal and juvenile law, officer wellness, and crisis intervention.

Davies’ graduation was announced in a Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office's Facebook post. Present at the ceremony were his family, Undersheriff Hermann, and Sheriff Knowles, who presented him with his whistle chain—a symbol of his transition from the Jail Division to the Patrol Division.

Deputy Davies begins his new role this week, where he will apply the skills and training he received in the academy to field operations.
