This Sunday, the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office will host its Cops & Kids event at the Ozaukee County Fair Grounds from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The goal of the event is to build stronger relationships between law enforcement and the community's youth. According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the day promises to be a fun and interactive way for children to learn more about police work.
Kids will get hands-on experiences like using a police radio as a dispatcher, tackling the SRT Obstacle Course, and taking fingerprints just like a detective. A variety of other activities are planned to both educate and entertain attendees while giving them a closer look at the roles and tools of law enforcement, as reported by the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office also expressed gratitude to the community sponsors who made the event possible. Families are encouraged to come out, enjoy the sunny weather, and take part in what’s expected to be a memorable day of learning, fun, and connection.
