As the Rostraver community continues to reel from the tragic murder of Jennah Seibert, authorities have taken a person of interest into custody on unrelated charges. Dorian Jeri-Greene, 39, was apprehended in Tampa, Florida, and is being held at the Orient Road Jail, as reported by WPXI. His custody is due to an outstanding warrant in connection with a previous burglary and assault in Washington County, a situation distinct from the Seibert case.
According to an arrest warrant dated February 5, Jeri-Greene is accused of forcefully breaking into an ex-girlfriend's home on February 2. The Tampa police are now preparing to quickly extradite him to Washington County to face charges of burglary, assault, and strangulation. This development comes after Seibert, 24, was found shot to death at her home on Lenity School Road on April 11, igniting an extensive investigation and heightening the community's concerns about safety.
The Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office and Rostraver Township Police have reassured the public. In a release detailed by WTAE, "Police do not believe there is any further threat to the public or the Rostraver Township community." Even though Jeri-Greene is in custody on different charges, officials are still gathering evidence and conducting interviews in the Siebert homicide case.
While no charges have been filed in the Seibert case, the investigation continues to be active and ongoing.
