
After more than a quarter-century of service, Sergeant Brian Diebold is hanging up his badge at the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office (PCSO). The PCSO took to social media to announce Diebold's retirement, marking the end of an era for the sergeant known for his dedication to some of the most high-stakes roles in law enforcement. Diebold is closing out his 26-year tenure with nearly 15 years as a SWAT Supervisor.
Diebold's career spanned various demanding units including Street Crimes, Narcotics, and the Violent Offender Warrants Unit, as well as Tactical Investigations. "His unwavering drive to take on those that were often the worst of the worst in Pinellas County made our community safer," the PCSO stated on Facebook. Alongside enhancing community safety, his work also left a positive mark on his colleagues within the PCSO and the wider local law enforcement community.
Celebrating his career, Diebold's retirement was not just noted for his accomplishments on the field. The sergeant also earned recognition for sharing his extensive experiences, with his episode on the "56: A Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Podcast" becoming the most-listened-to installment.
