
In the early hours of a recent morning, Pittsburgh police were called to the scene of an alleged armed robbery in the neighborhood of Perry South. The incident occurred on the 2100 block of Brighton Road, where a person reported being confronted by a group, among them a female suspect wielding a firearm and demanding money, as per the City of Pittsburgh's Public Safety Blotter.
According to the victim's account, the encounter with the assailants resulted in no physical harm, allowing the victim to escape the scene as the group dispersed into a nearby home, resulting in immediate police action where authorities detained thirteen individuals upon a consented search of the residence; they have been released following the initial investigation.
Further investigation, facilitated by home security footage, led to the identification of a teenage girl, allegedly seen holding what looks to be a firearm during the time of the crime. She was apprehended without resistance and is facing charges related to the robbery incident, details of which were published in a recent news release by the Pittsburgh Police.
