The Placer County Sheriff's Office has announced the return of its Youth Academy for 2025. The free, four-day program will take place from July 7 through July 10 and is open to Placer County residents aged 14 to 17. Participants will learn about different law enforcement units, including Patrol, K9, Search & Rescue, and Corrections, as reported by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
The program is limited to 25 participants. The deadline to register is June 8. If more than 25 applications are received, a lottery system will be used to select participants, as stated by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, the Youth Academy is being offered to local teens. Participants will be provided with a T-shirt, snacks, and drinks. The program offers “This is your chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to serve and protect your community.” Interested individuals can register on the official Placer County website.
