In the process of the attempted crime, one juvenile reportedly dropped a handgun onto the bus floor, which has yet to be confirmed as loaded. After the incident, the group of juveniles quickly fled the scene before police could apprehend them. According to reports from CBS News Pittsburgh, the victim managed to pick up the gun and safely hold it until officers arrived, showcasing a presence of mind despite the danger.

The PRT spokesperson reassured the public that, fortunately, no injuries were sustained during the attempted robbery. The authorities are leveraging surveillance footage and bus records to try to identify the suspects responsible for this incident.
