On Tursday evening, deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office made a decisive move during a routine traffic stop on W Sam Houston Parkway N, which led to the arrest. The driver, identified as Joseph Lopez, showed clear signs of impairment.
According to a social media post from the Constable's officee, standardized field sobriety tests were carried out, confirming suspicions that Lopez was indeed under the influence.
The investigation revealed that this was not Lopez's first encounter with the law for the same offense. Lopez had a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $100.00 by County Court 1.
