On a seemingly routine traffic stop last Saturday, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office pulled over a driver on the 16300 block of Katy Freeway, who was later identified as Elan Douglas. Officers observed him exhibiting signs of intoxication, leading to a prompt administration of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
It was confirmed that Douglas was driving under the influence, compounding upon a history already tainted with two prior convictions for the same offense. In keeping with procedure, a blood sample was taken from Douglas to further substantiate the officers' observations, as per the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4's Facebook page, "Elan Douglas was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd. His Bond was set at $35,000.00 out of the 177th District Court." This statement not only confirmed the arrest but also the financial and legal hurdles that Douglas will inevitably have to surmount.
