
Local authorities have coordinated efforts leading to the arrest of a Revere man on charges of cocaine trafficking, as confirmed by Winthrop Police Chief John Goodwin, Winthrop Public Safety.
During a search of 25-year-old David Querubin Mejia's Beach Street residence, authorities seized 110 grams of cocaine, various packaging materials, jewelry, scales and about $10,000 in cash, all these items were discovered following a strategic collaboration between Winthrop Police, Revere Police and the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department, they sought to clamp down on drug-related activities in Winthrop.
Post-arrest, as officers commenced the booking process, it came to light that Mejia had provided a false name and social security number, along with possessing forged identification documents, details of which were shared directly from Goodwin's report.
Mejia now faces charges for trafficking cocaine, furnishing a false name or social security number, and possession of a forged instrument. Following his arrest and the initial arraignment this past Friday in Boston Municipal Court, Querubin Mejia was ordered to be held on $30,000 cash bail.
