
On Wednesday evening in Sacramento's Seavey Circle, police responded to a shooting. Officers arrived just before 8:30 p.m. and found an adult male with at least one gunshot wound, as reported by the Sacramento Police Department.
Despite officers' efforts to provide life-saving aid, the individual was taken to a hospital by the Sacramento Fire Department and later died. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators have taken over the investigation. They are processing the scene, collecting evidence, and interviewing witnesses. Details are still being gathered, and the exact circumstances of the shooting have not been released, as stated by the Sacramento Police Department.
According to the Sacramento Police Department on their Facebook page, updates are limited and suspect information is withheld. Anyone with information is asked to contact the dispatch center at (916) 808-5471, Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357), or submit anonymous tips via the "P3 Tips" app. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered. The victim’s identity is withheld pending next-of-kin notification and will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.
