A 31-year-old man was killed in a shooting incident in Sagamore Hills, a tragedy that unfolded on a Wednesday afternoon. According to WKYC, the shooting occurred in the 500 block of Carlin Drive around 5:30 p.m., where the victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds upon the response of police and EMS.

Details have emerged about the circumstances surrounding the victim, who lived on Carlin Road, getting into the back seat of a vehicle with two younger individuals. According to Cleveland 19, Sagamore Hills Police Chief David Hayes stated, “Numerous shots were then fired inside the vehicle". Witnesses told police that, before driving away, the two males were seen dragging the victim out of the car.

Further investigation revealed that one of the occupants of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man, had also been shot. He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center Main Campus and, according to police, is in stable condition.

The victim, later identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office as Lempner, succumbed to his injuries at Akron City Hospital at 1:26 a.m. News 5 Cleveland reports that Lempner had received multiple gunshot wounds.
