As the school year winds down, youth organizations across Saint Paul are gearing up for summer with the help of the Summer Activator Cycle (CPI) provided by Sprockets. Aimed at enhancing program quality for children and teens during the summer months, the CPI process offers structured support and resources for local youth programs. Organizations that opt in will receive tools to aid reflection, growth, and solidify their impact within the community.
According to a recent announcement from the City of Saint Paul, the process will kick off with a one-hour online meeting in early June, designed to "Set the stage for a successful summer and identify your summer data sets." This initial meeting lays the groundwork for the upcoming cycle, as participating programs look forward to a summer filled with effective and beneficial programming for young people. Engaged in the process, programs will be able to observe their work through an External Observation using the SEL PQA, to glean valuable insights into how their programs operate in real-time.
Moreover, the City's message underscores the importance of reflection amidst hectic summer schedules, offering "bite size ways" for staff teams to utilize data and guided tools, ensuring meaningful reflection dialogues take place. These tools are crafted to fit the busy period without overwhelming the staff, allowing them to focus on providing quality interactions and experiences for the youth.
Interested youth programs based in Saint Paul are encouraged to complete the necessary information by Friday, May 23rd, to participate. With scheduling tailored to accommodate different programs' availability, those interested can prepare for an enlightening summer cycle.
