Utah State University's Moab campus is set to see a new era of leadership as Samantha Campbell steps up as the interim associate vice president. Known for her hands-on involvement and commitment, Campbell is leaving her mark as a key figure at USU Moab, where she has operated as associate campus director.
Speaking about Campbell's new role, Kristian Olsen, vice president for Statewide campuses, expressed confidence in her abilities: "Samantha brings heart, vision, and a deep understanding of the campus mission. I’m confident USU Moab will continue to grow and thrive under her leadership," according to USU Today. Campbell's transition to the interim role comes after 14 years of service at the university, a tenure marked by a variety of roles and substantial respect from the community and the institution alike.
Apart from her role in administration, Campbell is also the director of student services at the campus, a role in which she has focused on inclusivity and access to education, especially for technical programs and the Hispanic population within the region. Her leadership has notably advanced the campus's services and community engagement.
It's Campbell's drive for broadening educational opportunities that has made her a pivotal figure in the campus's development. "Her leadership has been key in expanding access to higher education, especially in technical education and among the region’s growing Hispanic population," Olsen said, as per USU Today.
