San Antonio Animal Care Services (SAACS), in partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation, has launched the "Empty the Shelters" campaign, aimed at promoting pet adoption. As part of this initiative, adoption fees for dogs and cats have been reduced to $25, effective today through May 15. In an effort to combat shelter overcrowding and give as many animals as possible a fresh start, SAACS is urging locals to take advantage of this two-week event.
The reduced fee doesn't mean reduced care, though. All pets adopted during this window come with the essentials: sterilization, the first round of vaccinations, and microchipped with free lifetime registration. As adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, the official SAACS news release encourages prospective adopters to act promptly.
But the perks don't stop at the physical. Post-adoption, SAACS continues its support with free lifetime training advice and classes from their very own trainers. Aiding them further, the BISSELL Pet Foundation donates lifesaving funds for every pet that lands a home, reinvesting in the care and future of other shelter animals still waiting for their chance.
Ready to meet your new four-legged family member? Head over to SAACS at 4710 State Hwy 151, open seven days a week for adoptions. For more details on the Empty the Shelters event, visit the SAACS news release and get all the information needed to make an informed adoption.
