A bounty of drugs and a cache of weapons were unearthed this month by the San Marcos Police Department (SMPD), culminating in the arrest of 28-year-old Erik Lee Cadena. After obtaining a search warrant, SMPD's Narcotics Division discovered an array of substances and firearms at a residence in the 200 block of Hughson Dr., as reported by CBS Austin. Among the drugs seized were 846 grams of cocaine, more than 1,400 MDMA pills, and substantial amounts of liquid THC and marijuana.
The search also turned up 12.6 lbs. of marijuana and 1,525 grams of Adderall, which amounts to nearly 4,000 pills. Not only drugs, but officers also confiscated four pistols, nine rifles, two shotguns, and a collection of high-capacity magazines during the raid. Moreover, over $2,800 in cash and a Louis Vuitton backpack were found among the items seized, as KVUE details.
Cadena now faces serious charges. He has been charged with five counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance over 400 grams, which is classified as a first-degree felony. This legal embroilment follows what appears to be a significant operation, given the diversity and amount of substances, weapons, and the presence of designer goods connected to the suspect.
