Summer in West Allis is gearing up to treat its residents and visitors to a series of vibrant Food Truck Fridays. According to the city's official announcement, these events will take place at the West Allis Farmers Market, located at 6501 W. National Ave. Starting on June 13, the community can look forward to diversifying their palate with an array of food trucks that will dot the landscape every other Friday.

The city promises a broad spectrum of culinary delights, boasting more than 16 food trucks that will offer everything from BBQ and tater tots to empanadas and tacos. The food truck lineup will rotate, ensuring a fresh experience each time. In a statement obtained by the City of West Allis, attendees are also invited to enjoy "craft beer from OPE! Brewing Co. and Perspective Brewing, shop the mini art market filled with art from local makers, listen to live music from local musicians, and enjoy family activities from West Allis – West Milwaukee Recreation and Community Services Operation Recreation free of charge."

The festivities, set to take place between 5 and 8 p.m., are free to attend—an appealing prospect for a family outing or an evening with friends. Alongside the mouthwatering food, the organizers have also lined up local musicians to provide live entertainment. The series will kick off with Marcell Guyton on June 13, followed by Orlando Peña & the Midnight Purchase on June 27, further enriching the cultural fabric of these gatherings.

Adding to the community spirit, the event will feature family-friendly activities, courtesy of West Allis – West Milwaukee Recreation and Community Services Operation Recreation. The full schedule of performers spans various genres, promising musical accompaniment that complements the casual dining experience under the summer sky. From the folksy strums of Lil' Rev to the hip sway of DJ Caleb, attendees are in for auditory treats that are as varied as the food on offer. Tenley Sheldon is set to serenade visitors on Aug. 15, while the Happy Schotski Combo wraps the series on Sept. 26, as detailed on the city's website.
