The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is turning to the public in hopes of finding 17-year-old Joey Perales, a San Antonio teen who's been missing since yesterday. Fox San Antonio reports that Perales was last seen around 7 a.m. at his mother’s home off Fronted Goose near Reeves Loop in Far West Bexar County.
According to the details shared by family members and the Sheriff’s office, there's an increased level of concern due to the medical condition Perales suffers from, which necessitates regular medication. He is described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall, with brown eyes, and black hair. In a statement obtained by KENS 5, the teen was last seen in the vicinity of the 14000 block of Fronted Goose near SH 211.
The Sheriff’s office is urging anyone with knowledge of Joey Perales’ whereabouts to get in touch. They have made available the contact number (210) 335-6000, and have provided an email address for the BCSO Missing Persons Unit at [email protected], as additional means for the public to offer assistance in their search efforts.
With each passing hour, the urgency to locate Perales grows, not only within the circle of his family and friends, but across the broader community where every person found is a reprieve from the all-too-common retelling of loss. As local citizens and online audiences alike amplify Joey's story, the hope remains that someone, somewhere may hold the key to bringing him home safely.
