The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is actively seeking the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred in West Hollywood late Monday night, leaving a pedestrian in critical condition. According to KTLA, the collision took place near the intersection of Fountain Avenue and Havenhurst Drive around 11:55 p.m.
Reports indicate that the suspect vehicle, identified as a white sedan, was traveling westbound on Fountain Avenue and struck a pedestrian who was legally crossing the street in a marked crosswalk. The Sheriff’s Department stated the driver failed to yield and fled the scene without stopping. As a result, the pedestrian was transported to a hospital with injuries described as life-threatening. Witnesses or anyone with information have been urged to come forward to assist in locating the suspect vehicle, which is believed to have sustained considerable damage to the front or left-front bumper.
