Last night, Seattle's downtown area, a familiar backdrop for the city's ongoing battle with drug-related crimes, became the scene of yet another arrest after patrol officers observed a man engaging in what appeared to be a drug deal near Pike Street and 3rd Avenue at around 11:00 p.m., leading to the seizure of crystal meth, fentanyl, hydrocodone, and a loaded gun, as detailed by the Seattle Police Department.
The Seattle Police Department, in a press statement chronicled on their blog, reported that officers recovered 16.6g of crystal meth, 0.2g of fentanyl, four hydrocodone pills from the suspect, who was also found in possession of a loaded firearm tucked into his waistband. This individual, a 32-year-old man, carried a gun despite being a denied firearm applicant and having an expired Concealed Pistol License.
The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, is now facing charges that include Sale & Delivery of Synthetic Narcotics and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, according to the Seattle Police Department. After the arrest, the man was booked into the King County Jail, where he remains awaiting further proceedings.
