An extensive undercover operation by the Sevier County Sheriff's Office has borne fruit, resulting in several arrests. According to a post on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the investigation named Operation No Good Time was launched in July 2024, targeting the illicit infiltration of controlled substances into the Sevier County Correctional Complexes.

A joint effort by the NOVA-Unit Detectives, along with Jail Administration and Correctional Staff, utilized surveillance and various investigative methods to uncover the scheme. "Outstanding work by your Sevier County NOVA-Unit Detectives and your Correctional Facility Administrators and Staff!" stated Sheriff Michael R. Hodges, Jr. Their persistent efforts have led to the unsealing of Grand Jury indictments against twenty individuals who were allegedly involved in attempts to smuggle contraband into the penal institution.

The charges span from conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal facility to the sale and delivery of Schedule III controlled substances. Among those indicted, the operation has brought to light the names of several individuals, including Joy Williams, Andrew Shular, Devon Hurst, and Logan Prince. Each is now facing legal repercussions for their purported roles in this clandestine operation.

Also named in the roundup were Aaron Binkley, Cody Graham, Diane McClure, Jack Holland, and others, further highlighting the endemic challenge of drug proliferation within correctional facilities. The Sheriff's declaration of the effort's success, "We are making every effort to prevent drugs from entering our Jails," echoes the stance of a department resolute in its mission to uphold the law and protect the community from the insidious reach of narcotics. In total, there are currently six outstanding warrants, for suspects yet to be apprehended in connection with this investigation.
