
A shooting happened on a METRO bus in southwest Houston on Friday, leaving one person injured. The incident took place near West Bellfort Avenue and Kirby Drive, close to the South Loop and NRG Stadium, as reported by KHOU.
According to KHOU, the episode unfolded in the afternoon, and the wounded person was swiftly transported to a local hospital, although details concerning their medical condition remain unrevealed, the suspect described as having hasten from the crime scene shortly after the shooting. A METRO official confirmed the series of events with FOX 26 and noted that the incident sparked around 2:30 p.m., bystanders witnessed a male on the sidewalk, burdened with at least one visible gunshot wound, it's still undetermined whether police have identified the gunman or have any suspects in custody.
